Clinical Nurse Coordinator OR

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – OR to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within the perioperative department. This Registered Nurse position plays a key role in coordinating operating room activities while delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator – OR is responsible for facilitating safe, efficient clinical operations in the surgical environment. Acting as both a clinical resource and a team leader, this nurse coordinates patient flow, staffing assignments, and room utilization to support timely, high-quality surgical care. In collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team, the coordinator helps ensure that patients receive comprehensive care throughout the pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases. The role includes providing direct bedside nursing care in the operating room when needed, performing thorough assessments, monitoring patient status, implementing physician orders, and maintaining accurate electronic health record documentation.

This role helps ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies, maintains adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques, and reinforces best practices in equipment use and surgical site safety. Effective communication with patients and families is essential, as the coordinator provides education, anticipatory guidance, and updates to support a positive surgical experience.
