Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Aerospace Cybersecurity Engineer with experience in aerospace/avionics cybersecurity, hardware security, and embedded systems. This role will support cybersecurity activities across aerospace and defense programs, including threat modeling, security assessments, secure development, hardware security, testing, compliance, and customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity activities for aerospace and avionics programs.
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews.
- Support secure software development, code signing, cryptography, secure boot, and secure firmware update processes.
- Conduct cybersecurity testing, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Define cybersecurity measures for aerospace embedded systems, controllers, and aircraft platforms.
- Support compliance with aerospace and federal cybersecurity requirements.
- Review customer requirements, RFIs/RFQs, and support proposal development.
- Work with customers, federal contractors, and internal engineering teams.
- Support lab-based testing and occasional onsite assessments at customer or aircraft locations.
Required Skills
- Aerospace or avionics cybersecurity experience.
- Hardware and embedded systems security experience.
- Threat modeling and risk assessment.
- Security architecture reviews.
- Cybersecurity testing and vulnerability assessment.
- Penetration testing.
- Secure boot and secure firmware updates.
- Cryptography and code signing.
- Experience with aerospace cybersecurity requirements.
