M&K Truck Centers is a multi-state leader in commercial truck sales, leasing, parts and service. The Commercial Painter will be responsible for painting the interior and exterior of M&K facilities as needed for upkeep, new construction and various remodeling projects. Must be able to work safely at heights, be self-motivated, reliable, productive, and work well in a team atmosphere.

Essential Functions:

• Make on-site preparations such as build/assemble scaffolding, covering fixtures and adjacent areas, putting in place barriers etc.

• Prepare wall and other surfaces for painting by sanding surfaces, taping off as needed, cleaning and removing old paint, dirt, grime, etc. as needed for best finish results and adhesion

• Remove and reinstall door hardware, fixtures, electrical cover plates, etc.

• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material such as caulk, spackle, etc.

• Paint surfaces according to best industry standards using various tools such as brush, roller, sprayer, etc.

• Calculate and obtain the correct amount of materials for each job

• Skilled in drywall repair and finishing

• Operates motorized lifts

• Maintains company equipment

• Ability to lead team in accomplishing projects

• Keeps clean jobsite and work areas

• Travel required; overtime and working “off hours” required

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 5 + years’ experience in painting industry

• Knowledgeable of paint products

• Innovative – ability to improve processes – sound judgment and problem solving skills

• Positive attitude

• Willing to adjust work time and approach to accommodate daily business operations – flexible

• Attention to detail
