Job Description
The Mechanical Assembler position involves performing routine production duties in the re-manufacturing of heavy equipment engines, transmissions, and powertrains. The role includes disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling components, utilizing small machinery and hand tools.
Responsibilities

• Disassemble engines, small components, transmissions, differentials, motors, and hydraulics using small machinery and hand tools with supervision.
• Prepare surfaces by grinding, sanding, cleaning, or polishing objects or parts to correct defects.
• Perform machine setups, material handling, and minor general maintenance.
• Operate the hot tank machine and maintain chemical concentration.
• Steam clean parts or objects for reuse.
• Produce work that meets or exceeds customer expectations following the highest quality standards.
• Participate in and support Open Book Management principles.
• Monitor concentration of chemical balances in hot tank and make necessary adjustments.
• Control waste from steam cleaning process.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Work Environment
Expect to work 10-12 hours per day, 4-5 days a week, depending on production needs. Standard schedule is 4x10s, with potential overtime on Fridays. The facility is not temperature controlled, and employees will work with equipment for disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and testing. Engage in Open Book Management, contributing ideas to the business.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $21.26/hr.
