Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: RN license from any state is acceptable Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within one year of hire - Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within one year of hire - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within one year of hire - NIH Stroke Scale required within six months of hire - Emergency Severity Index Level 5 required within three months of hire - Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire Must-Have: - Ability to work independently in completing assignments - Professional knowledge of specific patient conditions and treatments - Support to individuals of all ages and their families Description: The Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures. The role requires professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments. Nursing duties include the support of individuals of all ages and their families. Guidelines include physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies. The emergency department provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services. The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and more. This position requires maintaining current valid certifications throughout employment. Bilingual skills are not required for this role. Holiday coverage is required.
