Physical Security Specialist

Job Title

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year.

You are developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods for such functions and activities as:

• Development of classification guides, document marking, safeguarding, and use
• Personnel/physical access controls
• Physical storage and control
• Security education

You are excited about reviewing plans for proposed or new projects to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other security controls.

You are committed to developing, implementing, and monitoring procedures for complying with restrictions on transferring technological information to other nations.

You thrive at reviewing requests from foreign governments or from other Federal and non-Federal individuals or groups for classified or controlled unclassified information and make determinations about the releasability of the requested information or technology.
