Paralegal PositionExpress Employment Professionals seeks an approachable, self-motivated Paralegal looking for a collegial law office environment with an opportunity to learn and grow in business law, estate planning, intellectual property and real estate.Compensation: Starting pay range for this position is $17.00 per hour and may vary upward depending on experience.Paralegal duties include:Manage calendars and confirm appointmentsManage incoming/outgoing mail and paperworkMaintain client files from opening to closing including filing documents, monitoring deadlines and drafting documentsPrepare invoices and accept payments from clientsReview/summarize documentsFile legal documents with Clerks of CourtDraft professional correspondence and emailsFostering strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with ethical standardsCommunicate with opposing counsel offices on administrative aspects of client mattersConduct non-legal research on various platformsPrepare and file documents with Courts; Be/Become proficient with Georgia and South Carolina real estate filing systemsCoordinate real estate closings including communications with realtors, lenders, and partiesEducation and Experience RequirementsAssociate degree or equivalent required.Business law experience preferredExperience filing with Clerks of Court preferred.Experience with real estate closings preferredExposure to contracts preferredNecessary AttributesDetail oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize and balance competing demandsGood time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), QuickBooks and ability to learn new programs/applications quicklyAbility to work both independently and with others.Creative problem-solvingMaintain consistency with deadlinesSave, file, and organize pleadings, motions, and related e-filed or emailed documents dailyPlease Note: If you do not qualify but know someone who may be interested, please share this opportunity.Send your updated resume to: View email address on click.appcast.io Subject line: ParalegalNot part of the Express Team yet?
