An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in school nursing to work with K-8 students near Evanston, IL. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of approximately 500 students at a dynamic education setting. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) is ideal for an RN who thrives in a school environment and enjoys collaborating with educators, students, and families.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Illinois, in good standing
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in school-based healthcare required
• Strong assessment, triage, and care planning skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and staff
• Comfortable managing a diverse caseload in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with K-8 populations is highly desired
• Willingness to verify location details and ensure logistical fit

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and emergency nursing care to K-8 students
• Develop and implement individualized health care plans
• Administer medication and conduct health screenings
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions (diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc.)
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with district protocols
