We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at the Methodist Hospital Specialty Clinic. This is a great opportunity for nurses who are passionate about women's health and dedicated to providing patient-centered care across the lifespan. In this role, you will help triage and assess patient needs, coordinate care, and support patients through a variety of reproductive and gynecologic health concerns. You'll work closely with experienced OB/GYN providers and healthcare professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Triage
• Evaluate incoming patient phone calls to determine the urgency of symptoms and appropriate next steps (e.g., pregnancy-related concerns, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding).
• Provide telephone triage and guide patients to the appropriate level of care, including prenatal visits, urgent evaluation, or emergency services.

Care Coordination
• Assist in coordinating urgent and routine care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs (e.g., early pregnancy complications, postpartum concerns, infections, contraceptive management).
• Communicate effectively with OB/GYN providers and clinical team members to ensure timely, safe, and coordinated care.

Patient & Family Education
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, postpartum care, reproductive health, preventive screenings, and treatment plans.
• Provide guidance on medications, prenatal care, contraception options, and recovery expectations.
• Offer ongoing emotional support and resources tailored to each patient's stage of care.

Clinical Documentation & Follow-Up
• Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Monitor patient progress, lab results, and imaging, and coordinate follow-up care to ensure continuity and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Experience: All levels of RN experience will be considered. Prior experience in neurology or specialty care is a plus, but not required .
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
