Radiology - Mammography

Mammographer / DEXA Technologist Location: Moab, Utah Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule: Full-time, Day shift Job Description: We are seeking a passionate Mammographer/DEXA Technologist to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will operate specialized X-ray equipment to capture high-quality breast images, aiding in the diagnosis of breast conditions and cancers. Your work will require technical expertise, patient care, and rigorous adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain mammography equipment to produce clear and accurate X-ray images of breast tissue. Position and compress patients' breasts for optimal image acquisition. Ensure patient comfort and provide clear explanations of the procedure throughout. Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff. Evaluate mammogram images for quality and may require retakes to ensure optimal results. Maintain detailed patient records and documentation. Stay up-to-date on the latest mammography techniques and best practices. Promote breast health awareness by educating patients on the importance of regular screenings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Must be ARRT registered. Mammography license or certification required. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in mammography is ideal. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely. Compassionate and patient demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience for patients. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
