Respiratory Therapist - Night ShiftThis is a 13-week contract position.Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts.The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport as medically prescribed and within the professional scope of their license, all with minimal supervision. This role involves evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans, as well as educating patients upon discharge to home.Responsibilities:Conduct physician-prescribed treatments operating various types of ventilatory and aerosol equipment.Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.Conduct suctioning using various methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal).Monitor oximetry and capnography in accordance with policy.Review patients' chest x-rays and determine the need for further evaluation.Perform 12-lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition.Assist in procedures related to respiratory care (e.g., Bronchoscopy, Chest Tube placement).Provide tracheostomy care, including tube insertion and removal.Perform arterial puncture and monitor ventilation efficiency.Document patient treatments and responses in medical records.Coordinate with attending physicians regarding the efficiency of therapies.Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and data entry.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Candidates must possess appropriate licensure and certifications as mandated by their specialty and state regulations.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
