Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation (Las Vegas)

A growing national litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding Las Vegas office.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced trial attorneys handling a broad range of civil litigation matters while developing substantial courtroom experience and long-term career growth within a collaborative, highly respected firm.

While experience in insurance defense is preferred, we are also interested in attorneys from broader litigation backgrounds who are looking to build a long-term career in civil defense litigation.

The practice includes:

• Personal Injury Defense
• Auto & Transportation Litigation
• Premises Liability
• General Liability
• Products Liability
• Catastrophic Injury Defense

We are moving efficiently and can typically take candidates from first conversation to decision within approximately two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend mediations, hearings, and settlement conferences.
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
• Communicate regularly with clients, carriers, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
• Develop litigation strategy alongside experienced partners.
• Assume increasing responsibility as your practice develops.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Nevada Bar license required.
• Ideally 3-5 years of litigation experience, though candidates with somewhat less or more experience are encouraged to apply.
• Civil litigation experience required.
• Insurance defense experience preferred, but not required.
• Deposition and motion practice experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while working collaboratively within a litigation team.
• Desire to continue developing as a courtroom advocate.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary generally ranging from $125,000-$200,000 , depending on experience.
