Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care to patients of all age groups. The RN will perform comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver care according to hospital policies and the Nursing Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Execute appropriate nursing actions to achieve patient goals.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient care activities and updates.
• Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards and hospital policies.
• Administer medications accurately and evaluate patient responses.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and discharge needs.
• Participate in emergency/disaster preparedness planning and drills.
• Participate actively in Quality Improvement initiatives and report any quality issues.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Maine or compact.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Immunizations must be up-to-date, including varicella, HepB, MMR, Tdap, and PPD.
• Flu shot required during flu season.
