Litigation Legal Assistant (Hybrid Legal Assistant / Paralegal)

Location: Baton Rouge, LA (100% onsite) | Type: Full-time

A well-established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in its litigation practice in Baton Rouge. This hybrid role combines administrative support with substantive paralegal work, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys being an integral part of a high-performing legal team.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, format, and e-file pleadings, motions, and correspondence in state and federal courts
• Maintain attorney calendars, court deadlines, and docketing
• Assist with discovery, including organizing and managing large document productions
• Prepare deposition, hearing, and trial materials and exhibits
• Track case documents such as contracts, change orders, and project records
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts
• Manage timekeeping, billing support, and expense reporting
• Handle general administrative support for multiple attorneys

What You Bring

• 3+ years of litigation support experience in a law firm
• Working knowledge of Louisiana state and federal court rules and e-filing (PACER/CM-ECF)
• Strong technical skills: Microsoft Office, document management systems, and e-discovery platforms (Relativity or similar)
• Excellent organization and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Polished written and verbal communication
• Discretion, professionalism, and a proactive approach
• Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree preferred
