Essential functions (job duties): POSITION PURPOSE TheBusiness Analyst provides comprehensive support to offices within the Divisionof Academic Affairs, with a primary focus on student success, support, andengagement functions. This position may also support the business and dataanalytics needs of other offices within the Division of Academic Affairs asneeded. Reporting to the Operational Excellence department under the Divisionof Digital Strategy and Operational Excellence (DSOE), this role iscross-functionally aligned to and works in close partnership withtheDivision of Academic Affairs. The Business Analyst collaborates closely withteams such as the Office of Student Success, Support, & Engagement;Computing & Information Technology (C&IT)-Enterprise Applications;Institutional Research & Data Analytics; DSOE Project Management Office;and DSOE Change Management Office. Keyresponsibilities include process analysis and improvement, operational and adhoc data reporting, and support fortechnology configuration, administration, and maintenance of platformssupporting student success and related functions at the University. Theposition also addresses production support issues, coordinates systemenhancements and upgrades, and manages cross-functional projects. This rolerequires robust analytical capabilities and effective communication skills toengage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The essential functions are listed in order ofimportance.) Analyze and evaluate current business processes,workflows, reports, and tools. Make recommendations for development,improvement, or simplification. Serve as the functional subject matter expert andprimary system administrator of student success technologies. Performconfiguration tasks to satisfy requests from end users for enhancements andfixes. Identify, gather, and document business requirementsfrom users and stakeholders. Track and document changes in functionalrequirements and write detailed procedures that can be easily understood byusers. Work with DSOE staff tocoordinate the design, testing, and deployment of system enhancements,process automations, and integrations between student success systems, theenterprise ERP (Ellucian Banner), and other systems. Create ad-hoc reports,data queries, standard reports, and dashboards to support business needs. Responsible for multipleprojects or large complex projects with cross-functional teams. Serve as the primary liaison between the Office ofStudent Success, Support and Engagement, DSOE, and software vendors. In partnership with Office of Student Success, Supportand Engagement, develop appropriate training materials to support end usertraining. Otherduties as assigned. Unique duties: Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor'sdegree Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, information technology or related field required. Experience: Intermediate (3 to 4 years job-related experience) 1-3 years of experience as an application administrator or business analyst
