Utica, NY | ️ 13 Weeks | IMCU/PCU RN – Days

MVHS Wynn Hospital is seeking an experienced Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/PCU) Registered Nurse for a high-acuity stepdown unit caring for adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.

The IMCU RN will manage patients with diagnoses including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, post-op recovery, CV stepdown, and neurological conditions. Candidates should be comfortable working with advanced specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo systems. Chronic vent patients are cared for on the unit with respiratory therapy support.

Schedule is 6:30a–7p, 36 hours weekly. Floating may be required, and block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Requirements:

Active NY RN License
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2+ years recent IMCU/PCU experience
Prior travel experience required
Experience with EPIC EMR required

Unit Details:

64-bed IMCU with 15 designated neuro beds
Adult patient population only
Navy blue scrubs required
June 29th start date

Patterns Hiring Job ID #AN-1601-6. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
