Responsibilities The primary responsibility is to procure and organize data and perform advanced actuarial analysis to support pricing, reserving, and forecasting processes. This position will take the lead role in the loss ratio forecasting process, using research, analysis, collaboration, and judgment. Key Functions will include but not be limited to: Provide support for Rate Reviews, Ratemaking, and Actuarial Indications by collecting, compiling and analyzing data on price, exposure, losses, policy, and claim counts pertaining to same Provide regular estimates of adequate loss and expense reserves Provide support for the company’s planning processes Assist Underwriting in identifying segments with profitable growth potential and identify underperforming segments and propose corrective actions to improve profitability Provide support for advanced analytics and modeling techniques Provide support in enterprise risk management, including support for catastrophe management, economic capital modeling, internal rate of return studies Provide assistance in the development of rating methodologies concerning both existing and new company products Provide tools and analysis in support of Underwriting’s pricing decisions with respect to large accounts This is based in our Lawrenceville, GA office 4 days a week with Friday being remote. We are not open to Fully Remote candidates at this time. Qualifications 7-10 years of Property & Casualty actuarial work The position requires successful completion of at least four actuarial exams Excellent knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software. Experience with SQL and Power BI is a plus Advanced actuarial analysis Data collection, compilation, and interpretation Forecasting and modeling Collaboration and judgment in decision-making Pricing and reserving methodologies Risk management and financial analysis Proficiency with spreadsheet software and databases Education Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, computer programming, business or any related field Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.
