1st & 2nd SHIFT OKUMA 5 AXIS EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINISTS

The Position We are seeking experienced Okuma 5‑axis Machinists to operate our CNC machines utilizing the OSP‑P300 CNC Control. The role covers operating machines for valuable castings/forgings, manufacturing high‑quality parts for customers. Typical hours are 6:00 am‑4:30 pm for 1st shift and 4:20 pm‑2:50 am for 2nd shift, Monday – Friday. The 2nd shift receives a 10% shift differential plus hourly rate, and overtime—including weekends and peak production times—is preferred. Hourly pay ranges from $27.00 to $29.00 per hour, final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Job Duties Follow written instructions and read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to ensure and exact tolerances and finish specifications. Set up many jobs and may operate more than one machine. Check parts for conformance to specifications with precision gauges. Read and react accordingly to Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports. Complete problem‑solving activities with a continuous improvement mindset. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. The Right Person / What We Need From You Preferred five or more years of combined formal training and true five‑axis experience or equivalent. Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures, specifically the Okuma 5‑axis OSP‑P300 CNC Control. Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close. Experience with part loading/unloading utilizing a crane and basic material handling knowledge. Experience with manual clamping/part location and tool setup and compensation processes. Geometric tolerancing and dimensioning trained. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently, with heavier weight sometimes required. Must be able to read and write English. Basic computer skills are a plus.
