Senior Forensic Engineer - Accident Reconstruction

About the Role JS Held’s Accident Reconstruction practice is looking for an experienced Accident Reconstruction Engineer ready to lead forensic investigations, build new business, mentor colleagues, and present findings to clients and peers. Responsibilities Lead accident reconstruction projects and build lasting client relationships. Identify business development opportunities, nurture them, and close deals. Conduct field investigations and testing of incidents and loss events. Translate complex technical findings into clear reports and presentations. Travel as needed for inspections, fieldwork, marketing, and business development. Communicate progress and scope updates to clients and project teams. Stay current with industry developments through workshops, seminars, and publications. Achieve performance metrics and set higher goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering field (preferred). Minimum 15 years of post-academic industry engineering experience (preferred). ACTAR certification (preferred). Experience testifying as an expert witness (preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience with technical reports (preferred). Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver results; experience managing teams (preferred). Mathematically and technologically inclined and adaptable to new environments. Proficient with relevant software and technical systems. Willingness to obtain additional licensure and certification. Ability to work remotely or travel to job sites; reliable cellular service and high‑speed data access. Willingness to exceed performance and goal requirements.
