About This Role The Travel RN Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery will provide specialized nursing care for patients during labor and delivery, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for experienced RNs looking for a flexible contract position. Highlights Pay: $3,000+/week Location: Rhinebeck, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time What You'll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status. Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition. Assess level of pain and pain management. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care. Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes. Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities. Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care. Requirements Education Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty. Licenses & Certifications Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required. BLS certification required.
