Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer leads process development and continuous improvement for medical device manufacturing at GE HealthCare. The role focuses on new product introductions, tooling design, and manufacturing excellence using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in an onsite Florence, South Carolina environment.

Responsibilities

Lead process development and new product introductions with supply chain and manufacturing system readiness
Design, validate, and optimize tooling and fixturing for complex mechanical systems in medical device environments
Drive productivity and quality improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and DFx methodologies
Develop manufacturing documentation including work instructions, control plans, and validation protocols
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to methods, tooling, equipment, and product design

Requirements

Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; or Associate's with 3+ years related experience; or High School diploma with 5+ years experience
Minimum 3 years manufacturing engineering, process development, or tooling design experience
Proficiency with CAD tools (CREO, SolidWorks, Windchill) and GD&T
Knowledge of metals, plastics, and composite materials
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Design for X (DFx) principles
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project planning capabilities
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
