An international law firm is looking to appoint an Innovation & AI Attorney to help transform how its litigation teams use AI, legal technology and knowledge.

This is a non-billing role for an attorney who has practised in litigation, disputes or investigations and wants to apply that experience to legal innovation.

You will work directly with partners and attorneys to understand how litigation matters are delivered, identify pain points and opportunities for improvement, and develop practical AI and technology solutions that improve efficiency, consistency and client service.

You will:

• Identify, scope, test and implement AI and legal technology solutions for litigation teams.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows for areas such as document review, drafting, research, case analysis, investigations and matter management.
• Work with attorneys to develop practical prompting strategies and AI use cases.
• Support pilots, Proof of Concept projects, training and broader adoption of new technology.
• Improve access to precedents, know-how, matter data and other litigation knowledge.
• Work with technology teams and external vendors to translate lawyer requirements into practical solutions.
• Help embed successful tools and workflows into day-to-day legal practice.
• Monitor developments across legal AI and litigation technology.

You should have:

• A JD and admission to practise law in a relevant US jurisdiction.
• Substantive experience as a practising litigation attorney, ideally within a leading US or international law firm.
• Experience across areas such as commercial litigation, complex disputes, investigations, white collar, regulatory enforcement, arbitration or related contentious practices.
• Meaningful involvement with AI, legal technology, workflow improvement or innovation initiatives.
• The credibility to work directly with partners and experienced attorneys.
• A strong understanding of how litigation matters are delivered and where technology can improve legal workflows.

Experience with platforms such as Legora, Harvey, CoCounsel, Lexis+ Protégé, Vincent AI or comparable legal AI technology would be advantageous, but experience with a particular product is not essential.

Previous experience in a dedicated innovation role is also not essential. A practising litigator who has become significantly involved in AI, legal technology or workflow improvement could be highly relevant.
