AC Start Up & Warranty Tech

Job Summary As the AC Start Up & Warranty Tech, you will work with customers to ensure they receive appropriate warranty and product service options, conduct final stage checks, apply corrections, manage warranty processes, and coordinate scheduled calls. Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot single- and three‑phase installations. Verify proper installation of heating and cooling equipment, confirming correct operation of cooling and heating systems, including drain lines and coils. Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools. Assess customer needs and offer relevant products and services. Create and maintain a database of all leads from retail, new construction, and product registration. Provide continuous feedback on competition and market position. Build strong relationships with vendor partners to access the most up‑to‑date information. Handle product registration for retail and new construction installations. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous in‑house sales experience. Customer service skills. High‑quality organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Must be able to multitask. Ability to network and build community relationships. Excellent critical thinking and strong problem‑solving skills. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of residential field experience. Two years of experience in start‑up, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting diverse HVAC service issues. Experience with retrofit and new‑construction HVAC installations. EPA certification preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean motor‑vehicle record. Ability to pass a drug screen. Must have reliable HVAC tools. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Must be able to access attics and other confined spaces. Will work on call schedules, including long hours.
