Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Florida State or compact license required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required; CPI preferred Must-Have: - 2 references from authority figures within the last year must be included. - Flu vaccine required for specific dates - medical/religious exemptions only. - COVID-19 vaccine required - medical/religious exemptions only. Description: This position requires on-call, holiday, hurricane, and float requirements. Ratios are 1:4. First-time travelers are not accepted. Weekend requirements include 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. On-call duty is required as needed. Travelers may be required to float to all specified locations. The documentation system used is EPIC. Pending licenses are not accepted; valid license required at time of submission. Local candidates are accepted. Finalized requests for time off must be included with submission and will not be accepted after an offer. Contracted hours are guaranteed. Scrubs must be solid color; the individual provides their own or may wear provided scrubs. References must be from authority figures such as managers, supervisors, charge nurses, or directors within the last year. This unit sees a wide range of patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit supports interdisciplinary services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include all types, and a variety of special procedures may be performed. Previous acute care large hospital experience is required. Travel experience is needed. Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and more specialized skills relevant to emergency care. The facility's compliance requires a valid license, EPIC experience, and specific references as part of the selection process. Travel pairs may be accepted but are not guaranteed the same schedule. Candidates must be available for lab work within a specified timeframe after signing. Modules associated with the role are completed during orientation and annually through the facility's learning management system.
