Estimator Responsibilities: Estimate labor and material costs for Residential Homebuilding per building plans and specifications. Generate house quantity takeoffs using estimating software. Generate bid items and establish house budgets. Work in tandem with purchasing department to ensure all job cost are accounted for. Coordinate all related estimating functions to ensure Company objectives are achieved. Review cost variances in job budgets. Be familiar with our Company cost management system. Preform other duties as assigned. The Estimator must demonstrate: Knowledge of residential home building techniques and materials. The ability to read and interpret building plans. Knowledge of scopes of work and building code for residential home building. Proficiency in software usage to include KOVA, 2D Estimating and Excel. Excellent communication skills and work well independently and in a team environment The ability to manage tight deadlines, promptly address changes without disrupting schedules, and managing high volumes of work with minimal direct supervision. (PREFER) National residential builder experience in an estimating role. Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience working in the Residential Homebuilder industry Education Level-Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background screening Ability to work a five-day work week Proper business attire and personal hygiene required to represent company in a professional manner Aside from our happy homeowners, we know that no one is more vital to our success than our team members.
