Community Wellness Data Program Manager

Pay Range:Pay Range:$36.46 - $51.29 This position functions within the SEARHC Community Wellness Department. This position will collaborate with other SEARHC departments and strategic partners to improve patient access to comprehensive prevention and healthcare services. This would include, but not limited to, coordination of program activities, documentation of services, eligibility screening, reimbursement for services using grant funds, and expansion of services.The purpose of this position is to oversee the data collection, management, analysis, and reporting functions needed to support regulatory, quality, and strategic healthcare services for the Community Wellness Department and WISEWOMAN Women’s Health Program. We offer generous benefits, including retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance and long and short-term disability, and more.Shift DetailsM-F 8-5Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobOversee the preparation and submission of all required, regulatory, and quality improvement data reports for various external and internal stakeholders such as CDC, HHS, NIH, IHS, HRSA, as well as the senior management team.Lead analyses of clinical, quality, and service provision data to support operational and strategic needs.Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and ad-hoc reporting.Work with partners at CDC, ANTHC, and across the State to enhance data reporting and utility.Attend required and relevant reporting entity meetings and trainings.Train and mentor the junior members of the Data & Analytics Team, as directed by Community Wellness Nurse ManagerObtains and compares data from multiple sources and reviews for discrepancies using various applicationsPerforms quality assurance and validation tasksProvides education to patient revenue generating departments to ensure compliant charging and coding practices for the Community Wellness DepartmentCollaborate with Patient Financial Services, Patient Access and Community Wellness Departments to develop and support workflowsReview provider documentation to ensure reimbursement for servicesReviews requests from other departments related to coding and charge captureProvides guidance, communicates, and serves as subject matter expert for assigned service line related to the billing process, and other related subjects related to Community Wellness charges.Collaborate within cross-functional teams.Complete data entry and analysis for a lengthy amount of time.Work on different projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced setting with overlapping commitments and deadlinesAssist the Community Wellness Department in achieving grant requirements and goals.Occasional travel is required.Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects deemed necessary to meet grant guidelines.Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience in data analytics, health information management, health science, accounting, data entry, or a related fieldGrant experience preferredFour years or more of experience working with data analysis and reporting, along with the healthcare revenue cycle preferredCertified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar certificationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of:Electronic health recordsHandling of PHICustomer service principlesProcesses to submit charges for grant expensesInpatient and outpatient billing processesPayor remittances and CPT’s, HCPCS, and Revenue CodesMajor insurance companies' billing policies to ensure compliance with state and federal lawsReconciling and balancing of payments receivedMedical terminologyAbility to:Delegate workManage multiple prioritiesMulti-taskUtilize organizational skills and time managementWork autonomouslyBe self-motivatedAbility to reassess priorities throughout the work shift and adapt as necessaryAble to successfully communicate both verbally and writtenAbility to analyze, problem-solve, troubleshoot challengesOccasional travel, as neededSkills:Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in leveraging Excel and database applications for analysis, modeling, and performance improvement reporting and monitoringStrong analytical skillsExcellent organizational skillsAssessment, anticipation of needs, and data collectionElectronic health records programs and data tracking software (Cerner/Meditech)Excel spreadsheetsOutlook SharePointOneDriveMS TeamsMS Office SuiteRequired Certifications:If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
