Job Title

Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Level 3 (Days)

Location

New York, NY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every other weekend and holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognize and interpret serious situations, prioritize care, and take appropriate immediate action
• Initiate appropriate emergency measures when a physician is not immediately available
• Operate and monitor specialized emergency care equipment including infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators , and cardiac monitors
• Administer medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation as prescribed by the physician
• Document patient observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures, and coordinated care activities accurately
• May float to ICU and Medical-Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS , ACLS , PALS , and TNCC (all mandatory prior to start)
• Ventilator experience required
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department
• Ability to effectively multi-task and manage competing priorities
• Familiarity with ICU and Medical-Surgical care environments
