We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive

Junior Estimator

to support our growing preconstruction and estimating team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with construction estimating or preconstruction support experience who enjoys working with plans, organizing bid information, and helping turn project details into well-prepared proposals. Position Summary The Junior Estimator works closely with estimators, project managers, and design teams to support accurate, organized, and timely bids. This role combines estimating support, subcontractor coordination, and document management to keep the preconstruction process moving efficiently. Success in this position requires strong follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. You will help maintain pricing information, coordinate bid documents, and assemble proposals while continuing to strengthen your understanding of commercial construction costs and scopes. Essential Functions Assist in preparing, organizing, and formatting proposals and bid packages for commercial construction projects. Maintain databases of subcontractor pricing, historical costs, unit rates, and vendor contact information. Coordinate the distribution of drawings, specifications, addenda, requests for information (RFIs), and other bid documents among team members. Request bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, track responses, and follow up to meet submission deadlines. Assist in assembling complete bid packages with consistent formatting, clear organization, and required supporting documentation. Maintain document version control and archive historical estimates and supporting records. Support preconstruction document control and correspondence to keep project information current and accessible. Prepare and maintain RFI logs, bid clarifications, and bid summary reports. Assist in preparing internal reports and metrics, including win/loss analysis, estimating performance, and cost benchmarking. Required Qualifications At least

2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, preconstruction, or estimating support

, including an administrative role supporting these functions. Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook;

strong Excel skills are essential

. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple bids, documents, and deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence following up with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under deadlines. A collaborative, proactive approach and willingness to ask questions and learn. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting ground-up commercial construction projects. Familiarity with estimating or takeoff software such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift, and construction document management platforms such as ProjectSight. Experience with Canva, Microsoft Publisher, Quark, or similar platforms for proposal formatting and presentation. Associate’s degree or technical education in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Exposure to cost databases, historical cost information, and subcontractor bid packages.
