Dietitian - Clinical - Limited Term Employment

Position Summary The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove (WVHUG) is recruiting a Limited Term Employment (LTE) Registered Dietitian to support our dedicated Nursing Services team. The Home is a 24/7/365 long‑term care facility that provides comfort, support, and professional healthcare services to elderly or disabled veterans and their spouses. Responsibilities Assess residents’ nutritional status regularly. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans. Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide individualized or group nutrition education. Participate in performance improvement efforts. Support and guide Nutrition & Dining Services management staff. Salary Information Starting pay: $34.00 per hour. Pay schedule: 11‑04. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. This position does not offer employee benefits. Job Details Shift: AM, Monday through Friday (LTE; no guaranteed hours or shifts). Maximum 1039 hours in a 12‑month period, based on operational need, and can end at any time. Background check and pre‑employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test required. Position requires Wisconsin residency per Wisconsin Statute 230.26. Qualifications Licensed as a Wisconsin Registered Dietitian with unrestricted eligibility to work in a federally funded licensed nursing home. Experience performing dietetic functions in a nursing home (required). Experience using the Resident Assessment Instrument (required). Experience using computer programs to complete work duties (required). Experience collaborating on a multidisciplinary team. Strong problem‑solving skills. Ability to provide educational programming on nutrition and dietetics.
