CLERK SUPERVISOR (LEGAL/COURT)

Randstad is seeking a skilled and leadership-minded Court Clerk Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations and lead a dedicated legal administrative team. In this vital role, you will act as a bridge between court staff, the Municipal Judge, City Prosecutor, and law enforcement to ensure smooth and efficient court proceedings. The ideal candidate brings a high level of professional integrity, the ability to defuse stressful situations with top-tier customer service, and office management skills. A high school diploma with at least 3 years of clerical or administrative experience in the legal or public service space is required, though a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or public administration and prior court experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Directly manages, trains, evaluates, and disciplines 2-3 staff members while providing coordinated leadership and cross-training.

• Court Session Management: Oversees day-to-day court operations before, during, and after proceedings, including preparing cases, ensuring legal documentation is properly executed, and recording court findings.

• Docket & Record Maintenance: Prepares, cross-checks, and updates physical and digital arraignment, discussion, sentencing, and trial dockets.

• Financial Oversight: Supervised the collection of bonds, fines, and online payments; ensures cash security, prepares deposits, and submits monthly financial information for state-mandated fees.

• State Agency Reporting: Handles electronic filing of dispositions, remands licenses to the Kansas Department of Revenue, and ensures mandated reporting to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

• Legal Processing: Issues subpoenas, bench warrants, failure-to-comply notices, and restricted driver's license permits based on court instructions.

• Inter-Departmental Coordination: Acts as a liaison between the Municipal Judge, City Prosecutor, Probation Services, and the Police Department.

• Public & Customer Service: Provides de-escalating customer service to the public, explaining court processes and managing inquiries over the phone and front counter.
