Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Specialist in Gardner, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, conducting routine patrols, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue and retrieve visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain access-related records. Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including facility entrances, production-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns. Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding shift activities, access concerns, incidents, and/or unusual conditions. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
