Admissions Counselor

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, the Admissions Counselor performs a wide range of assessment and intake duties. The role involves maintaining contact with public and private agencies, representing Addiction Treatment Services to promote awareness of programs and substance abuse issues, and performing comprehensive assessments. The position requires coordinating with referring agencies and admitting clients into the ATS treatment continuum. Qualifications include a Master's Degree in Human Services or related field, effective verbal and written communication skills, maturity, insight, and sound judgment. The candidate must demonstrate measurable progress in obtaining CSAC certification within 2 years of hire and have experience in identifying and evaluating substance use disorders. Knowledge of social, cultural, and economic factors on Oahu and skills in communication within a multicultural environment are essential.
