Homestyle Family Cook For Private Household (Asian Cuisine) | Miami, FL

A young professional couple based in Miami is seeking a long-term Bilingual Chinese Cook to support their household three days per week.

The family is seeking someone experienced in preparing authentic homestyle Chinese cuisine with knowledge of Southern Chinese, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and spicy family-style dishes, along with healthy Western meals.

This role includes cooking, grocery shopping, and kitchen organization.

Schedule: Three non-consecutive days per week (example: Monday, Wednesday, Friday). Minimum 6-hour shifts, approximately 11:00 AM/12:00 PM to 5:00 PM/6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy Asian and Western meals for the family
• Specialize in homestyle Southern Chinese, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and spicy family-style cuisine
• Grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing
• Run household errands as needed
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and inventory
• Assist with meal planning and pantry management
• Provide proactive family assistant support as needed
• Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality within the household

Requirements

• English and or Mandarin speaker preferred
• Previous experience working in a private household or family assistant role
• Strong home style Chinese cooking experience required
• Knowledge of Southern Chinese, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and spicy cuisine preferred
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Warm, calm, trustworthy, and discreet demeanor
• Ability to work independently and anticipate household needs
• Strong professional references required

Compensation: $50 to $60 per hour
