Orthodontic Assistant (Part-Time – Hiring Immediately)

Position Type: Part-Time (3–4 Days/Week)

Locations: Hebron, CT & Manchester, CT (travel between offices required)

Schedule: Days vary based on office needs

Position Overview

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will work directly alongside our orthodontist to deliver high-quality clinical care, assist with active treatment procedures, and maintain seamless day-to-day clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Assistance: Direct chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures, including bondings, wire changes/adjustments, debonds, and retainer fittings.
• Diagnostic Records: Capture accurate clinical records, including digital X-rays, intraoral/extraoral photographs, and impressions.
• Patient Care & Education: Instruct patients and parents on proper oral hygiene, appliance maintenance, and elastic wear instructions.
• Sterilization & Operatory Prep: Prepare treatment bays, sterilize instruments, and strictly adhere to infection control guidelines.
• Patient Engagement: Create a positive, comfortable, and efficient visit for patients of all ages.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is required. Direct orthodontic assisting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong foundational dental knowledge!
• Certifications:
• • Infection Control (ICE) and CPR certifications preferred (or willing to obtain).
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between our Hebron and Manchester offices.
• Soft Skills: Warm, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Strong teamwork ethic and attention to detail.
