Position Overview This is not a teaching position; it is a motivational role focused on facilitating life‑skills workshops and individualized student motivation via AI‑driven learning. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for K‑8 cohorts covering public speaking, focus, feedback, and other enduring competencies, modifying the playbook and creating new sessions when needed. Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions that drive every student to 100% completion of their weekly app goals, leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha’s incentive structures. Delivering Test2Pass evaluations for each life skill and coaching students until mastery is achieved. Adjusting coaching approach across a broad age spectrum, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to 8th graders needing direct conversation and accountability. Serving as the adult who maintains high expectations and the one students trust and want to confide in; warmth establishes credibility and challenge demonstrates confidence in their potential. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering whiteboard lectures or academic content delivery. Creating curriculum from the ground up; instead you activate an established playbook. Passively monitoring students at computers; motivation requires active, individualized, persistent engagement. Reducing a weekly target to help a student; the solution involves the student, not the goal. Assessing homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent communications (managed by Campus Leads). Associate Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student in your K‑8 cohort achieves their weekly learning targets, demonstrates mastery of each life skill, and finishes the year reporting they loved working with you. Basic Requirements Available to work on‑site at the listed Alpha campuses; relocation assistance provided. Bachelor’s degree in any field. Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K‑8 students (classroom instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program leadership). Concrete example of motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging goal: objective, actions, and result. Comfort allowing AI to manage instructional content while you concentrate on motivation and life‑skills coaching. Regular use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). Authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship (or in Canada for the Toronto campus). Nice‑to‑have Requirements Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after‑school programming with direct responsibility for motivating children toward defined objectives. Personal track record of exceptional achievement (academic, athletic, or professional) demonstrating consistent high standards. Narrative ability and stage presence sufficient to engage a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without needing to raise your voice.
