BI Developer

BI DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking a BI Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.We are seeking a skilled BI Developer to join our data team. You will be responsible for end-to-end BI solutions—from data modeling and ETL pipeline development to the creation of interactive dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in SQL and data warehousing, combined with the communication skills necessary to translate complex business requirements into elegant, data-driven solutions.Responsibilities:Solution Design: Translate business needs into technical specifications and design scalable BI architectures (e.g., star/snowflake schemas)Data Integration: Develop and maintain efficient ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse source systems into our data warehouseVisualization: Build and deploy interactive dashboards, executive scorecards, and self-service analytics platforms using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or LookerDatabase Management: Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to optimize database performance and ensure data integrityCollaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to align BI solutions with organizational goals and KPIsMaintenance & Governance: Monitor system performance, implement data governance and security frameworks, and provide ongoing support/training to end-usersRequirements:Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL is mandatory. Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)BI Tooling: Proven experience with at least one leading BI platform such as Power BI, Tableau, or LookerData Modeling: Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts, and schema designETL/ELT: Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, dbt, Fivetran)Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, validate data accuracy, and connect metrics to business valueEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
