Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers. Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment. Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies. Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems. Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects. Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects. Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree and 2-4 years of experience. Engineering degree required. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Chemical Engineering. Oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills, computer skills, technical expertise. Experience within chemical manufacturing or the defense industry highly desired. Experience in energetic materials field. Understanding of the design and composition of existing products and engineering/business processes and principles. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
