Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in Radiology/Cardiology is responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires expertise in nuclear medicine technology, patient care, and collaboration with clinical teams. The technologist will float between facilities as needed and is expected to maintain certifications and adhere to hospital protocols. Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET/CT scans, with accuracy and patient safety in mind.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine and imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Float between Mission Viejo and Mission Laguna Beach facilities as required.
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain professional certifications.

• Minimum of 1 year of nuclear medicine or PET/CT experience preferred; first-timers accepted.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certification by ARRT (N) or NMTCB/CA License.
• Valid state license for nuclear medicine technology.
• Ability to float between multiple hospital locations.
• Reliable transportation within a 50-mile radius.

• Advanced CT certification.
• Experience working in acute care hospital settings.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system.

• Must be open to working 3 out of 5 major holidays.
• Floating between Mission Viejo and Mission Laguna Beach facilities is required.
• On-call work is not required but may be assigned upon request.
• Facility provides free parking.
• Scrub color codes must be followed: Royal Blue for RNs, provided scrubs for OR staff.
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at submission.
• Facility may call off staff once per two-week pay period.

• Work schedule and block shifts are assigned at manager discretion.
• Shifts may include days, with floating between locations as needed.
• Guaranteed hours are subject to facility call-off policies.
