Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit managing high-risk OB patients, mag patients, and C-sections performed on the unit
• Perform independent patient exams and full assessments; note that IUPC insertion is not within scope for this role
• Chart accurately across two EMR systems (Meditech and GE)
• Maintain staffing ratios in accordance with AWHONN guidelines
• Task to OB or nursery as needed without assuming a patient assignment in those areas
• Deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Required Qualifications

• BSN required
• Active RN license in New York or compact eligibility
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions accepted
• High-risk OB experience required; must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RNC (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing) certification preferred
• Experience charting in Meditech and/or GE systems
• Strong customer service skills and experience managing a variety of patient acuity assignments
