Job Title: Project Manager - ERP - Navy

• Work Location: Hybrid 75% remote; 25% Onsite Washington Navy Yard(e.g. 1 full onsite day per week, and approximately extra half-days onsite every few weeks (or flexible one-day arrangements) to average out to 1.25 onsite days/week).

Position Overview

BizFirst is supporting our client in search of a full-time Project Manager (PM) to lead the Navy ERP+ transformation initiative, a large-scale SAP S/4HANA upgrade within the Department of the Navy (DoN). This role involves overseeing project execution, risk management, governance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a fit-to-standard approach in modernizing Navy ERP. The PM will serve as the primary government interface, drive implementation using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies, and ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders, including the Senior Advisory Council and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).

Our client is a specialized management consulting firm that engages experienced professionals and consultants to support the federal government with strategic project execution, financial process optimization, advanced IT solutions, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. Through innovative transformations, they develop and implement strategies to optimize operations for military departments and agencies across the U.S. Federal Government.

What You will Do:

As the Program Manager, you will lead the Navy ERP+ Project Management Office (PMO), overseeing the SAP S/4HANA transformation for the Department of the Navy. As the primary government interface, you will manage project planning, risk mitigation, and execution, ensuring compliance with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies. You will track project progress using Jira and Confluence, advise senior leadership on decision-making, and support end-to-end business process re-engineering efforts to align with Navy ERP+ objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project execution for the NavyERP+ S/4HANA technical upgrade
• Develop and implement projectmanagement best practices to improve visibility and efficiency
• Provide strategic recommendationsto the Senior Advisory Council based on DoD ERP transformation experience
• Manage project deliverables,performance metrics, and governance oversight
• Configure and utilize Jira andConfluence for tracking project milestones and risk management
• Facilitate collaboration betweenStrategy & Operations, Organizational Change Management, SolutionsDesign, Data Management, and E2E Process Design teams
• Ensure audit compliance and riskmitigation for Navy ERP+ modernization
• Support stakeholder engagement andexecutive-level decision-making

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or arelated field
• Master's degree in Business or arelated field
• 20 years of Federal ERP experience
• Recent Navy ERP migrationexperience
• Experience leading large, complexIT transformations for the DoD environment
• Experience leading S4 HANA upgrades
• Recent Scaled Agile (SAFe)certification(s)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing DoD financialsystems and supporting audit readiness initiatives
• Experience with Navy businessoperations, governance frameworks, and IT compliance requirements
• Prior leadership in ERPmodernization projects for other federal agencies
• Knowledge of end-to-end SAP S/4HANAbusiness process modeling
• Expertise in stakeholder managementand executive-level engagement
