We are looking for a Field Service Safety Expert. This position will be based in the United States (fully remote) with up to 75% travel.
This role supports Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for Siemens field service operations performing work on electrical infrastructure systems. The position provides a strong field safety presence across customer sites, partnering closely with field teams and leadership to reinforce safe work practices, identify risk, and intervene when necessary. The role is highly visible and plays a direct role in strengthening safety culture across a rapidly growing field organization.
You'll make a difference by:
Providing hands-on safety oversight and field support for Siemens Field Service Engineers, contractors, and project teams working on electrical distribution systems
Conducting scheduled and unannounced jobsite visits to identify hazards, verify controls, coach teams, and reinforce safe behaviors
Supporting installation, commissioning, inspection, and service activities involving medium- and low-voltage switchgear and other industrial electrical equipment
Verifying hazardous energy control, including lockout/tagout and Live-Dead-Live testing, and exercising stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe
Monitoring high-risk activities such as energized work, complex installations, lifts, and elevated work to ensure compliance with safety requirements
Participating in incident, near-miss, and safety investigations, including fact-finding and root cause analysis
Partnering with leadership to drive continuous improvement, strengthen safety culture, and reduce risk across field operations
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience with the following:
Construction, industrial, or electrical field safety environments
OSHA regulations and electrical safety practices, including NFPA 70E
Electrical power distribution systems or industrial electrical equipment
Hazard recognition, jobsite inspections, and field-based safety coaching
Incident investigation, documentation, and corrective action follow-up
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% to customer job sites
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional years of experience in construction, industrial, or electrical safety leadership roles
Experience supporting medium- or low-voltage switchgear installation, commissioning, or service activities
Certifications or training such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction, OSHA 510/511, CHST (or higher), NFPA 70E, Fall Protection Competent Person, or First Aid/CPR
Experience working in high-reliability or complex environments such as utilities, data centers, semiconductor facilities, or large industrial sites
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors, manage difficult conversations, and build trust with field teams
