Substitute Bus Driver

Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of school pupils within the guidelines of the State of Michigan and the policies established by the local Board of Education; maintaining discipline on the bus and promoting good public relations by neat appearance, positive attitude, and appearance of the school bus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Valid commercial driver's license (B) with P&S endorsements with air brakes
• Completion of satisfactory pre-employment driver's training program, basic and advanced bus driver's education program; bus driver's certificate
• Be physically qualified as determined by an annual physical examination
• Must submit and pass drug and alcohol testing as required by law
• Must complete fingerprinting and criminal background clearance checks
• Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record
