Product Control Analyst

Our client is seeking a Product Control Analyst to support a strategic IFRS Lending Accounting transformation initiative. This role will partner with Product Control, Legal Entity Controllers, Accounting Policy, Technology, and senior project leadership to analyze lending accounting requirements, identify differences between IFRS and U.S. GAAP, and help implement scalable accounting and reporting solutions. IFRS Lending Accounting Analysis & Automation Gather and document business and accounting requirements from Product Control, Legal Entity Controllers (LEC), and Accounting Policy teams. Analyze lending accounting treatment under IFRS and compare current U.S. GAAP processes to identify reporting, valuation, and disclosure differences. Assist the Senior Product Owner in developing accounting requirements, business rules, and functional specifications for automation initiatives. Partner with Technology teams to design, implement, test, and validate system enhancements. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, and business sign-off. Ensure accounting requirements are accurately translated into system functionality. Project Management & Governance Prepare presentations and materials for senior management highlighting project progress, milestones, risks, and key decisions. Document accounting positions, rationale, and materiality assessments for U.S. GAAP to IFRS differences that will not be addressed through system enhancements. Coordinate across Finance, Accounting, Product Control, and Technology teams to ensure successful project delivery. Track project deliverables, action items, and governance documentation. Required Qualifications 2–5 years of Product Control, Accounting, or Finance experience within an investment banking environment. Experience supporting loan or lending products as a Product Controller. Strong understanding of bank accounting and financial reporting. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and exposure to IFRS accounting principles. Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
