Procurement / Sourcing Specialist II

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Procurement Specialist II to manage direct material procurement and supplier relationships in support of manufacturing operations. The role focuses on demand planning, vendor evaluation, purchase order management, and supply chain optimization in a regulated, onsite environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure and manage direct materials for production schedules while optimizing inventory levels
• Create, monitor, and administer purchase orders from placement through payment
• Conduct vendor review and Supplier Relationship Management meetings to assess performance and drive improvement
• Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and contracts based on cost, quality, and lead-time analysis
• Monitor supplier metrics, mitigate supply risks, resolve shortages, and support product introductions and transfers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field with 2+ years procurement experience; or high school diploma with 5+ years experience
• Minimum 2+ years procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing
• Strong proficiency in SAP and MRP systems
• Proficiency in Power BI for dashboards and data visualization
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
• Experience in FDA/ISO/GMP-regulated or medical device environments preferred
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, CIPS, or CPM certification a plus
