Assembly Supervisor

Description The Manufacturing Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and direction to assigned manufacturing departments while ensuring employees, resources, and processes are effectively aligned with production requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead Assembly, Sub-Assembly, and Paint teams to achieve established weekly and monthly production goals.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and leadership to hourly manufacturing employees.
- Manage daily labor assignments and departmental workloads based on production priorities.
- Monitor and drive weekly and monthly production schedule attainment.
- Coordinate with Demand Management to align manufacturing output with production requirements.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and direct labor teams to improve throughput and reduce manufacturing time.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, workflow, productivity, and workforce utilization.
- Support the development and training of direct reports to strengthen employee capability and departmental performance.
- Coordinate maintenance requirements and activities with the Maintenance Manager to minimize production disruption.
- Participate in operations leadership meetings and contribute to strategic and operational planning.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, effective communication, and continuous improvement throughout assigned departments.
- Communicate production priorities, expectations, and changes effectively to employees.
- Support a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Five to ten years of experience in a heavy equipment, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory or manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading hourly employees in a production environment.
- Experience with ERP systems required; Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline) experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and employee-development skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows.
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to effectively manage labor, workload, production priorities, and schedule requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and operational performance.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Continuous improvement and process optimization mindset.
- Full-time, first-shift position; 40 hours per week.
- Manufacturing environment requiring regular presence on the production floor.
- Constant standing and walking on even concrete surfaces.
- Frequent sitting, grasping, handling, reaching, stooping, bending, and use of fine motor skills.
- Frequent near visual acuity requirements.
