Position Summary

The Manager, FP&A - Procurement is the dedicated finance business partner to Worldpac's Procurement, Merchandising. This role owns the planning, forecasting, and analytics for the company's third-party spend - from OE and aftermarket product cost facilities, packaging, IT, and services. It is accountable for quantifying, validating, and tracking cost savings and supplier program income through to the P&L, and for giving Procurement leaders the financial insight to negotiate from a position of fact. Success in this role depends as much on commercial judgment and credibility with category leaders as on technical FP&A skill.

Core Responsibilities - Procurement & Supply Chain Partnership

• Spend planning and forecasting. Own the annual budget and rolling forecast for total third-party spend across product cost, inbound freight and duty, and indirect categories, building bottom-up plans by supplier, category, carline, and cost center in partnership with Category and Sourcing Managers.
• Landed cost and product cost modeling. Model fully landed unit cost for imported OE and aftermarket parts - supplier price, Incoterms, ocean and air freight, duty and tariff, customs brokerage, drayage, and inbound handling - and quantify how changes in any input flow through gross margin by carline and product line.
• Savings pipeline governance. Act as the financial gatekeeper for the Procurement savings pipeline: validate baselines, methodology, and run-rate assumptions for every initiative, and classify benefit as hard (budget-reducing), cost avoidance, margin accretion, or working-capital gain.
• Savings-to-P&L reconciliation. Build and maintain the bridge from reported Procurement savings to actual P&L and budget outcomes, and explain leakage between negotiated and realized benefit to Finance, Procurement, and ownership.
• Sourcing and negotiation support. Provide the analytics behind RFPs, RFQs, supplier line reviews, and renewals - should-cost models, total cost of ownership, bid comparison and scenario analysis, price-volume-mix decomposition, and breakeven analysis on volume commitments and tiered pricing.
• Supplier price-increase defense. Quantify and pressure-test supplier price-increase requests against commodity indices, FX movement, freight rates, and published inflation data; build the counter-proposal case and model the pass-through or margin impact of accepting, deferring, or rejecting each request.
• Tariff, duty, and FX exposure. Model exposure across a globally sourced supply base - tariff and trade-policy changes, country-of-origin shifts, duty classification, and currency movement on non-USD purchases - and support mitigation strategies including alternative sourcing, forward buying, and pricing action.
• Contract and commercial terms analysis. Evaluate the financial impact of supplier agreements: payment terms, rebate structures, indexation and escalator clauses, minimum purchase commitments, exclusivity, price protection, and termination provisions - quantifying the EBITDA and cash flow effect of each.
• Inventory and working capital. Quantify the working capital impact of buying decisions - order quantities, early-buy programs, safety stock, and supplier lead times - and partner with Merchandising on the cost of excess and obsolete inventory, return-to-vendor recovery, and inventory turn by category.
• Payment terms and cash optimization. Work with Treasury and Accounts Payable on payment-term extension, early-payment and cash-discount economics, and supply chain finance programs; quantify DPO and free cash flow impact.
• Spend and supplier analytics. Deliver recurring analytics on spend under management, supplier concentration and single-source risk, tail spend, off-contract and non-PO spend, contract compliance, and purchase price variance versus contracted or quoted cost.
• Make-versus-buy and network decisions. Lead the financial evaluation of make-versus-buy, insource-versus-outsource, supplier consolidation, and facility or DC sourcing decisions, including transition and stranded costs.
• Procurement scorecard and reviews. Own the monthly Procurement and spend scorecard - savings realization versus target, spend under management, PO and contract compliance, purchase price variance, landed cost trend, and supplier performance - and present the drivers, risks, and required decisions to leadership.
• Close and accrual support. Partner with Accounting on spend, freight, rebate, and allowance accruals, purchase price variance explanation, and investigation of significant spend and cost variances at month-end.

Core Responsibilities - Broader FP&A

• Management reporting. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages and executive-ready materials, including materials supporting board and ownership reporting, that translate spend and cost analytics into clear recommendations.
• Data, systems, and automation. Improve the structure, quality, and automation of spend and cost data across ERP, purchasing, and planning systems; drive spend taxonomy and supplier master data hygiene with Procurement Operations and IT, reducing manual reporting effort.
• Cross-functional partnership. Work across Merchandising, Supply Chain and Distribution, Transportation, Sales, IT, Legal, and Accounting to align spend plans with commercial and operating objectives.
• Standalone and transformation support. Support cost-transformation, supplier consolidation, and standalone-company initiatives with business cases, tracking, and post-implementation review of realized versus projected benefit.
• Process improvement and team development. Replace ad hoc analysis with repeatable, documented standards; mentor analysts, review their work for accuracy and analytical rigor, and raise the standard of financial support delivered to Procurement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field.
• Five or more years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance, or corporate finance experience, including direct support of Procurement, Sourcing, Merchandising, or Supply Chain.
• Demonstrated ownership of a full budget and forecast cycle for a meaningful spend or cost base, including variance analysis and executive-facing narrative.
• Proven record of building and independently validating cost savings business cases and tracking realization through to the financial statements.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability - scenario and sensitivity analysis, should-cost and landed-cost models, price-volume-mix analysis, and comfort working with large transactional datasets.
• Solid grounding in the accounting behind spend and inventory - accruals, purchase price variance, landed cost capitalization, rebate and allowance accounting, and excess and obsolete reserves.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial analysis to non-financial partners and to hold a well-supported position in a commercial negotiation setting.
• Intellectual honesty and the willingness to challenge assumptions - including those of senior stakeholders and suppliers - directly, constructively, and with data.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket, wholesale distribution, or multi-site logistics-intensive businesses with significant product cost, freight, and supplier program economics.
• Experience with imported goods - Incoterms, customs and duty, tariff classification, ocean freight contracting, and FX exposure on foreign-currency purchases.
• Familiarity with supplier rebate, allowance, and vendor program income structures common to distribution.
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, or Tableau, and the ability to build self-service reporting for business partners.
• Experience in a private-equity-owned or recently carved-out business, including value-creation plan tracking and cost-transformation or zero-based budgeting programs.

• Accuracy and reliability of the spend, product cost, and freight forecast, measured by variance to actuals.
• Share of Procurement-reported savings and supplier program income independently validated by Finance and traceable to the P&L.
• Reduction in unexplained purchase price variance, off-contract spend, and landed cost surprises.
• Timeliness and decision usefulness of the monthly Procurement scorecard, supplier line reviews, and category reviews.
• Procurement, Merchandising, and Supply Chain leadership's assessment of Finance as a credible, responsive commercial partner.
