Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to add to our team on prevailing wage commercial and industrial porjects. This Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing and piping systems while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local, state, and project specifications. This position offers competitive prevailing wage compensation and the opportunity to work on large-scale construction and industrial projects throughout Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair commercial and industrial plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and plumbing schematics.
• Install domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas, and specialty piping systems.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, and fit various pipe materials including copper, PVC, CPVC, cast iron, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
• Install plumbing fixtures, valves, pumps, water heaters, backflow preventers, and related equipment.
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing system failures and equipment malfunctions.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• State of Michigan Journeyman Plumber License
• 5+ years of experience with commercial or industrial new construction settings/projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites as required.
• Possess basic hand tools required for the trade.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications preferred.
• Experience with medical gas, process piping, or industrial piping systems.
• Pipe welding, brazing, soldering, and grooving experience.
• Experience operating aerial lifts, forklifts, and telehandlers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, MI.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
