General Manager Jersey Mike’s is looking for a highly motivated leader to manage the operations of a Legend Subs store. The General Manager oversees food and employee procedures, ensuring quality, safety, profitability, and a positive customer experience. Step 1: Phase 1 Certification Begin by mastering all core Jersey Mike’s positions to earn your first Certification — the foundation for leadership within our system. Pay: $16/hour + tips (average $22+/hour all‑in) Schedule: Minimum 45 hours per week in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment Support: You’ll be paired with a dedicated trainer and mentor to guide you through every station and standard. Upon completion, you’ll earn a $1/hour raise and progress to Step 2. Step 2: Phase 3 Certification After completing your initial certification, you’ll focus on leadership, operational execution, and team development. This stage prepares you to run shifts, make key decisions, and lead with reliability. Gain hands‑on management experience across multiple stores Learn scheduling, labor management, and financial fundamentals Demonstrate readiness for full‑time leadership responsibilities Upon completion, you’ll earn another $1/hour raise and become eligible for selection into the Manager‑in‑Training Program. Manager‑in‑Training (MIT) Program When you have shown strong leadership, reliability, and operational mastery, you may be selected for the MIT Program — an advanced track that prepares you to lead your own store. Pay: $20–$25/hour based on performance and experience Schedule: 45 hours per week (mix of opening, midday, and closing shifts) Oversight: District Manager & Training Store Manager Check‑ins: Weekly Google Meet review sessions Focus: Leadership readiness, operational excellence, and financial understanding Essentials: Lead shifts, manage full operations, advanced scheduling, ordering, P&L management, coach team members, drive profitability, participate in community engagement, operate a store independently for a final trial week, and present a P&L review. Responsibilities Manage food and labor costs Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures Execute company policies and procedures Develop and implement strategies to resolve trends and enhance sales and profits Provide proper training for team members Anticipate problems and initiate corrective action Hire and develop employees; conduct new hire orientation and develop training plans Schedule and deploy the team correctly Address performance issues and retain store management and crew Assist in resolving customer issues Uphold company food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements Ensure business and personnel practices comply with state and federal laws and Jersey Mike’s policies.
