Pharmacy Extern

The Pharmacy Extern is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications. Under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. Completes all required documentation. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description Qualifications

- Education: Enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy - Experience: 0 years's experience - Licenses/Certifications: Valid pharmacy intern/extern license in the state of practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
