Job Summary and Qualifications Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. Under the direction of a radiologist, you will: Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care Qualifications: Graduate from an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) ARRT (MR) required Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to MRI Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniques specific to MRI Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation safety, hazardous material and infection control policies Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, computer, clerical and grammar/spelling skills Ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions Benefits HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
